I wrote the poem one night in 1974. The song first came together in 1986, then was expanded and essentially re-recorded during the period of this album’s creation, with only the guitar solo and a basic keyboard track remaining from the original demo. I got somewhat carried away with my technology, and there are 267 tracks of synthesized raindrops in the background.
Rain Rain - lyrics
Rain rain, falling from the sky,
I’m the only one you see;
Made in heaven was I,
Every raindrop falls for me.
Spring air silently agrees,
Ever giving all her dew;
I care, I and all of these,
These are heavenly too.
Rain rain falling from the sky,
Sink into the ground, goodbye.
